This past month was an incredibly busy one as I traveled across all 11 counties of Ohio’s 6th Congressional District meeting with constituents, local leaders, and business owners to learn how I can better represent you in Washington. Before heading back from our district work month, House Republicans advanced and enacted President Trump’s America First agenda, a legislative program that puts working Americans first.
I was honored to attend county fair opening ceremonies, visit our outstanding universities, and meet with employers to discuss what they need to grow, hire, and keep our young people living right here in the beautiful communities of Ohio’s 6th Congressional District.
Many of our local businesses shared their excitement about the pro-growth provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill which highlighted lower tax rates for small businesses, permanent 100% expensing for new equipment, relief from crushing regulations, and expanded opportunity zones that will drive new investment right here at home. These reforms are already creating new opportunities and giving our hometown companies the confidence to expand.
I also spent time listening to constituents about their top concerns, especially the safety of our families and the urgent fight to stop the flow of deadly drugs like fentanyl that have devastated our communities for far too long. President Trump fulfilled his promise to secure the border and put an end to these violent criminals trafficking drugs. The One Big Beautiful Bill strengthens this effort by funding 3,000 new Border Patrol agents, 5,000 new CBP officers, expanding ICE detention capacity, and investing billions in cutting-edge technology to interdict fentanyl and illegal crossings, ensuring law enforcement has the tools they need to keep our neighborhoods safe.
Month after month, I will keep bringing your voices, your concerns, and your hopes for the future straight to Washington. Together, we are building a stronger, safer, and more prosperous Ohio.
