EAST PALESTINE, OH. – Congressman Michael Rulli praised President Donald Trump for his $10 million commitment to East Palestine through the Economic Development Administration. This investment builds on the Administration’s June announcement of a five-year, $10 million research initiative by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to study the long-term health impacts of the 2023 train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio.
“This community has been through more than most can imagine,” Rulli said. “Families lost trust in their future, small businesses fought to survive, and yet the people of East Palestine never gave up. With this investment, President Trump has once again shown his commitment to this community in stark contrast to the neglect of the previous administration.”
